About Family Constellations

Family Constellation workshops and classes are designed to serve individuals and couples desiring to resolve their own life issues as well as therapists seeking to discover new ways of working with clients.

Each of us carries with us the sum of the generations that came before us. Think of it as an emotional inheritance that spans generations. Unresolved energy or emotions from previous generations can create profound, persistent problems or conditions for members of succeeding generations as they attempt to solve the flow of love and energy through the family. The same love that creates emotional and energetic entanglements in family systems can heal when it becomes conscious.

These workshops are based on the highly original observations and therapeutic genius of German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger. Using the patterning of Family Constellations that Hellinger evolved, participants will be assisted to explore and re-solve the emotional and energetic entanglements affecting their lives.

As the workshop or class unfolds, participants will begin to experience life difficulties from an entirely new, more resourceful perspective. Issues that were once thought to be "just the way life is" will begin to melt away.

No prior experience with Neuro-Linguistic Programming is required. When we learned of the Hellinger Family Constellation work in the late 1990's, we found that it very nicely complemented and added to the NLP model. NLP works directly with the internal life experience and belief representations that can keep us stuck. Hellinger's model works with the energetic entanglements originating in the family system that can also keep us stuck. Both models begin with respecting what has been as an essential first step to change and moving on to fuller expression of our essential, unique selves.
